Brooklyn Beer day
October 19, 2019
NYC has so much beer to offer! How can we possibly get it all in a day tour???
Great question. The answer is: you sure as hell can’t. BUT you can get a great start. Our NYC day tours change neighborhoods and brewery/beer bar stops all the time, to offer up a wide variety of NYC must-sees and provide the opportunity to explore this great city’s beer culture, place by place and borough by borough. So, whether you’re a local or just visiting for a few days, come behind the scenes and experience the NYC beer scene like an insider on an awesomely abridged version of Beerspoke Travel’s full 4-day Beercation. Only the best for the greatest city in the world!
Our next beer day is set for October 19th. We’re still solidifying the schedule, but we’ll be hitting up:
1) The incomparable Threes Brewing for a brunch and beer pairing
2) Strong Rope Brewery (home of NYC’s largest homebrew group, the Brewminaries)
…and 2 of the following: St. Gambrinus Beer Shoppe, Fourth Avenue Pub, Other Half Brewing Co.

Our latest NYC Day Tour Itinerary (From 8/17/2019)
11am, Stop 1
alewife - The Brewpub
We met up, realized everyone was awesome, and the group got comfy.
Kyle, our Alewife hero, spoke about Alewife’s history, approach and future plans…then coated hungry stomachs with brunch during a food and beer pairing.
We then headed out and walked to the next stop while listening to the sounds of A Tribe Called Quest (way better than following an umbrella)
Walked 7 minutes (0.4 miles) to arrive at…
2:30, stop 3
Fifth Hammer brewing co.
We had a private area reserved in the brewhouse, where Matt took us on an excellent and informative tour
We also had a few cameos from brewer Chris Cuzme, who chatted us up, and explained the gravity test he was working on for a new beer.
Samples, of course.
Walked 7 minutes (0.3 miles) to arrive at…
1pm, stop 2
rockaway brewing co.
We had 2 tasty samples in a private upstairs room where we had a delightful chat and tour from Rockaway’s Chris (also known Instagram-wise as NYC Beer Baron).
We then went downstairs and got a private tour of the brewery, to go with our other 2 samples.
We met and pet Brownie, the brewery’s official cat mascot.
Walked 4 minutes (0.2 miles) to arrive at…
4pm, stop 4
iconyc brewery & biergarten
We were set up in their beautiful (and brand new) outdoor beer garden. But, at 132 degrees, we relocated to their awesome indoor space.
Enjoyed our fantastic samples and regaled each other on the day’s adventure.
And we handed out our new t-shirts and pint glasses to go along with our new friends.
Now, on to the next!!

“I've been to quite a few breweries, so I wasn't expecting to learn as much as I did, and while having so much fun. I went in loving beer and came out loving beer even more.”
